THE PLDOT
Life consists of energy, and all of life moves in a constant flow, from one extreme to another, flowing back and forth in an eternal cyclical or wave-like manner. Later in this lesson we will talk more about the nature of this flow, and how it is reflected in the markets, and how markets move with this rhythmic flow as well. But right now we have to get specific about how we visualize this flow and discover its underlying form. We need to be able to see it, and monitor it, and take advantage of the flow to make a profit. So we will learn about a basic tool, the PLdot.

Perhaps we should start by looking at some data.

What is the market in its most basic and elemental form? It's a series of transactions between individuals, right? When one trader buys a contract from another, and that price is recorded by the price clerk or by electronic trading exchange and put out over the wires, that is one data point. The endless series of trades at different prices is what the market consists of – nothing more.
