In this first lesson, we want you to think about the PLdot and become completely comfortable with what it is and how it is constructed.

So the homework for this lesson will be simple and straightforward. We're just going to make sure that you understand the PLdot and that you have mastered a few notional conventions that we're going to be using, and that you understand a few ways in which this powerful tool can be used.
